HYBRID
The masterful hybrid system provides excellent efficiency and an exhilarating drive, with nearly 70% fewer smog-forming emissions produced by the ES hybrid technology compared to other engines. Both ES 300h grades have a Lexus-first Hybrid Acoustics silencer that provides noise absorption and insulation for quietness, while its compact, lightweight nickel-hydrogen battery system under the rear seat allows for sufficient luggage space.

Elevating self-charging hybrids
HYBRID
The ES 300h EX and ES 300h SE only use 4.6 litres of petrol per 100km, and produce absolutely no emissions in Electric Vehicle mode. The advanced hybrid system uses breakthrough self-charging technology for maximum efficiency. Thanks to this highly effective regenerative braking system, kinetic energy usually lost during braking is instead converted to electricity and sent back to the battery. Total system output is 160kW and torque is rated at 221Nm.

DESIGN
The design of the latest generation Lexus ES makes a statement-worthy entrance every time, with a profile that grabs people’s attention. The improvements to the new ES will only impress with the adoption of geometric square bezels within the headlamp cluster for a more structured and formal appearance. The new luxury medium sedan can be further distinguished by a redesigned trademark Lexus ‘spindle’ grille incorporating an L-shaped mesh pattern that emphasises lateral flow, as well as redesigned 17- or 18-inch wheels.

Ultra-compact triple-beam* headlamps cast a striking presence. The intelligent LED Adaptive High-beam System (AHS)* automatically switches from high to low beams when it detects vehicles ahead. It’s a new approach to headlamp design, with unrivalled light distribution.*Available on ES 300h SE models only.
Amplified Control
An Anti-lock braking system with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Assist Control, Active Cornering Assist and Traction Control combine for the utmost confidence behind the wheel. The Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Park Distance Control (PDC) with Corner Sensors and an Intelligent Clearance Sonar system detect all-round obstructions in adjacent lanes or when manoeuvring into parking bays.
Blind spot monitor
Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert detects vehicles in adjacent lanes that are not visible on the door mirrors. If the driver is indicating to change lanes and a vehicle enters the blind spot, a warning signal appears on the relevant door mirror.
Adaptive cruise control*
Adaptive Cruise Control* ensures that you always maintain a sufficient distance from any vehicle in front, by slowing you down before any collision can occur.

INTERIOR
The ES interior is a physical manifestation of Omotenashi, the Japanese philosophy of warm hospitality, where your every need is anticipated and catered for. The ES seduces you with details such as embossed stitching on semi-aniline* leather trimmed seats and real wood* trim on the doors and steering wheel.
All controls such as the Mark Levinson* Audio System and the Multi-Information Display are placed within your grasp. For convenience, the wireless smartphone charger* is now located in the centre console area. And as if your day hasn’t been amplified enough, a twin cupholder has been incorporated into the interior too.

The Lexus manufacturer’s warranty provides cover for 7 years or 105 000 km (whichever occurs first) against manufacturing or material defects.

This cover can be extended to a maximum of 8 years/Unlimited km or 10 years/Unlimited (Hybrid Vehicles Only), ensuring total peace of mind in the event of failure or malfunction.
